Here's my story of how a cut cost me $43,000. I received this cut from a deliberate headbutt in my eighth professional fight.

The doctor who stitched me up after the fight, didn’t do the best job. There were a few fighters who were also cut on the show and as he was the only doctor sewing up the lacerations, I think he was rushed, so he didn’t do a great job.

Six weeks later at training camp for my next fight which was scheduled for eight weeks later I flew back to LA where I trained with Tommy...

Running, bag work, pad work, skipping, shadow boxing, strength and conditioning are all important aspects of a boxer's training. However, nothing quite simulates a real boxing match like sparring. To add to that, nothing will simulate competition quite like hard sparring, after all your opponent on the night will be throwing punches as hard as they possibly can and trying to score a knockout. Therefore, it makes sense to practice this is in the gym, no?

My answer would in fact be no, though thi...

From an early age it is important for children to have some interests and develop lifestyle habits they will carry with them for the rest of their life. Preferably something that will get them active, particularly in todays society of computer games, YouTube and social media. Poor food choices are often associated with this lifestyle too, so before you know it, it is quite common for children to settle straight into their computer, iPad or TV with a collection of chips, sweets and a can of coke ...

Most fighters will agree that being hit in the body hard is often worse than being hit in the head.

When you get hit clean it really sucks all the oxygen out of your full body, you feel sick and suffocated at the same time. It's not a nice feeling.

I used to practice throwing and landing the body shot all of the time when I was fighting, in shadow boxing, on the backs, and in sparring.

A great way to land that body shot is by changing the angle and with your feet and getting the punch to...

After one of the worst recessions in history that lasted from November 2007 to May 2016, America has seen a steady increase in Jobs and opportunities –especially for young people.

Speaking of opportunities, I’m glad to see that there are a lot more opportunities open to young people in the sport and fitness industry. Box N’ Burn has also seen steady growth as more young people are taking on boxing certification courses that we offer.

I am now a proud husband and father to three amazing dau...

Back in 2012 at the age of 27, I was on the verge of retiring from boxing, the sport that I had competed in since I was 10 years old. From boxing, I had serious hand problems and it got to the point where I couldn't button a shirt, turn a key, and it was even hard to zip my trousers. It was time for major hand surgery.

At this point I was an undefeated professional boxer, having taken bronze in the Beijing Olympics just a few years earlier, winning 7 national titles and a European Gold medal. I...

After dropping out of college at half way through my Criminal Justice Degree, I knew that I made the right choice. A few months later, I started working out: Running, Zumba, KickBoxing, BodyPump etc. I became really obsessed with Health and Fitness. From there, I wanted to make healthy food choices (I would say just to have the full package).

Fast forward a few years later, something Tragically happened to me. I lost my 16 Year Old son (Kidnapped and Murdered) my whole life just turned upsid...
